Finca la Torre Selección Hojiblanca Organic Demeter - 2025 - 500 ml

Sensors

Finca la Torre Selección Hojiblanca is a classic among Spanish extra virgin olive oils. Made exclusively from the Hojiblanca olive, native to Andalusia, it impresses with its intense, complex fruit aroma and exceptional freshness. On the nose, it immediately reveals notes of freshly cut grass and olive leaves, complemented by the delicate spice of green almond and surprising hints of banana peel. On the palate, it develops a pleasant bitterness, which is followed by a progressive, lingering peppery finish. It is a great oil. Full of nuance. And with compelling balance and persistence.

Origin & Processing

This premium olive oil comes from Finca La Torre in Bobadilla (Málaga), a historic estate with over 2,200 years of history. The Hojiblanca olives thrive in the region's poor, calcareous soils under the strict guidelines of biodynamic Demeter farming. Under the direction of agronomist Víctor Manuel Pérez Serrano, the olives are harvested at perfect ripeness. Immediate and precise processing in the estate's own mill results in a premium oil.

background

Behind the brilliance of this olive oil lies a vision: the uncompromising creation of a world-class product. Borja Adrian Sanz, the sales director of the olive estate, calls the quality standard he and his team "Guardians of Excellence." They aspire to be nothing less than the guardians of excellence in olive oil. Strict adherence to organic Demeter principles fully underscores this philosophy. Because not only the quality but also the "why" behind the product is right, Finca la Torre Selección Hojiblanca is valued by, among others, the renowned OYM (On Your Marks) in Cham, Switzerland. OYM is the Swiss center of excellence for elite athletics. Furthermore, the multiple awards as the best olive oil in Spain prove beyond doubt that Finca la Torre is currently among the best olive oil producers in the world – and the Hojiblanca oil is its flagship.

Food pairing

Its intense yet balanced profile makes this Hojiblanca oil a performance upgrade for both simple and sophisticated cuisine.

  • Ideal for refining lukewarm salads and steamed vegetables.

  • The spiciness and fruitiness contrast wonderfully with white meat or roasted meat dishes.

  • Perfect as a finishing touch over sauce or as a base for traditional Mediterranean dishes.

Note from the Master of Olive Oil

"When you have this oil in front of you in a glass or, alternatively, on a slice of bread, you inevitably ask yourself: What the hell more could you want?!"

– Silvan Brun, Master of Olive Oil

Import, warehousing & quality assurance

To ensure the enjoyment doesn't end with the product description, this oil was imported into Switzerland under temperature-controlled conditions (between 6 and 18 °C, depending on the truck). The oil is also stored at a constant ambient temperature of 15–18 °C, protected from light. This temperature-controlled logistics preserves the chemical, physiological, and sensory quality of the olive oil to the best of our ability. In the olive oil business—especially in the premium segment—such meticulous care is essential, yet evoo.expert is one of the very few retailers who consistently maintain an unbroken cold chain. You can smell and taste the difference.
