Median fruitiness score 8.3 | Median defects score 0.0 | Classification: EXTRA VERGINEOrigin & Processing
Frantoio is a classic Central Italian, indeed Tuscan, olive variety that has now become widely cultivated. Oro Bailén also grows it in Andalusia, where Frantoio remains a rarity among the predominant varieties Picual, Hojiblanca, Picudo, and Arbequina. The Frantoio olives for this oil come from the vineyards around Villanueva de la Reina (Jaén) , where Oro Bailén harvests them in early October and processes them within two hours in their own mill.

The Oro Bailén mill – awarded the title of Best Olive Oil Mill in the World 2024/2025 by World's Best Olive Oils – demonstrates year after year just how clear, precise, and expressive Frantoio can be.

To ensure the enjoyment doesn't end with the product description, this oil was imported into Switzerland under temperature-controlled conditions (between 6 and 18 °C, depending on the truck). The oil is also stored at a constant ambient temperature of 15–18 °C, protected from light. This temperature-controlled logistics preserves the chemical, physiological, and sensory quality of the olive oil to the best of our ability. In the olive oil business—especially in the premium segment—such meticulous care is essential, yet evoo.expert is one of the very few retailers who consistently maintain an unbroken cold chain. You can smell and taste the difference.
