Sensors
Sabino Leone's Apulian Limited Edition displays greenish, medium-fruity aromas. The nose reveals distinct vegetal notes, primarily green and ripe almond, along with hints of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the oil is slightly astringent, with a moderate bitterness and a subtly integrated spiciness. An approachable and elegant extra virgin olive oil that prioritizes balance over extremes.
Origin & Processing
This extra virgin olive oil comes from the Murgia Barese , one of Apulia's most pristine landscapes. The barren plateaus and fertile valleys of this region are home to olive groves, some centuries old, whose trees are deeply rooted in the calcareous soil. The olives are carefully harvested and processed promptly to preserve their freshness and aromatic purity. Sabino Leone combines traditional farming methods with modern processing techniques – with respect for the raw material, its origin, and time.
background
The Apulian Limited Edition is a tribute to its origins. It doesn't represent sensory enhancement, but rather memory, identity, and cultural heritage. This oil doesn't seek to explain a concept – it aims to convey a feeling: the simple, honest life in the countryside, shaped by work, rhythm, and nature. The artfully designed glass bottle, packaged in a high-quality presentation box, underscores this idea. It preserves not only olive oil, but also a piece of Apulian history. An extra virgin olive oil that seeks to touch the heart rather than impress.
Food pairing
Ideal for everyday Mediterranean cooking. It goes perfectly with vegetable dishes, pasta, legumes, baked potatoes, fish, and white meat. It's also delicious on its own on bread or as part of simple appetizers.
Note from the Master of Olive Oil
"Perfectly crafted. Beautifully packaged. A perfect gift for hosts who will appreciate it."
– Silvan Brun, Master of Olive OilImport, warehousing & quality assurance
To ensure the enjoyment doesn't end with the product description, this oil was imported into Switzerland under temperature-controlled conditions (between 6 and 18 °C, depending on the truck). The oil is also stored at a constant ambient temperature of 15–18 °C, protected from light. This temperature-controlled logistics preserves the chemical, physiological, and sensory quality of the olive oil to the best of our ability. In the olive oil business—especially in the premium segment—such meticulous care is essential, yet evoo.expert is one of the very few retailers who consistently maintain an unbroken cold chain. You can smell and taste the difference.
