This wonderful oil is made from olives grown exclusively on over 400-year-old Ogliarola Garganica trees in the hilly region of Monte Gargano (on the spur of Italy's boot). These ancient trees are breathtakingly beautiful – hence the name La Fèmm'n, which means "the woman" in the Canos dialect. Truly captivating.
This gentle, indeed soft, oil boasts exciting notes of golden apples, white almonds and green tomatoes.
It is best served with light, spring or summer dishes. It also goes perfectly with a fine selection of sliced octopus (cold) or with trout cooked "blue" (warm).
