Sabino Leone La M'nènn is a medium-fruity to slightly intensely fruity extra virgin olive oil made from the Frantoio variety. The nose is dominated by clear notes of green almond and freshly cut grass, complemented by delicate vegetal nuances reminiscent of arugula.
On the palate, the oil is balanced and rounded: the spiciness is present but smooth, the bitterness supple and well-integrated. La M'nènn is harmonious, structured, and approachable – a frantoio with an Apulian touch, without being rustic.
Origin & Processing
This extra virgin olive oil comes from Apulia and is produced by Sabino Leone, one of Italy's most distinguished olive oil producers. The Frantoio variety, originally from Tuscany, finds its own unique interpretation here, shaped by the climate, soil, and precise processing. The olives are carefully harvested and processed promptly to preserve freshness, clarity, and the characteristic aromas of the variety. La M'nènn exemplifies Sabino Leone's ability to give classic varietal profiles a modern, elegant form.
background
Frantoio is considered one of Italy's finest olive varieties – structured, aromatic, and versatile. Native to Tuscany, it is now cultivated across much of the peninsula. The oval olives, when processed correctly, yield a highly aromatic oil.
Food pairing
La M'nènn is an extremely versatile olive oil for everyday cooking. It goes perfectly with vegetable dishes, pasta, risottos, white meat, and fish. It's also ideal for refining soups, legumes, and salads.
Note from the Master of Olive Oil
“La M’nènn shows how beautiful Frantoio can be. Green almond, grass, a touch of rocket – it’s all there, clean and serene. A premium-quality oil that you don’t sting, but happily use every day and everywhere.”
– Silvan Brun, Master of Olive OilImport, warehousing & quality assurance
To ensure the enjoyment doesn't end with the product description, this oil was imported into Switzerland under temperature-controlled conditions (between 6 and 18 °C, depending on the truck). The oil is also stored at a constant ambient temperature of 15–18 °C, protected from light. This temperature-controlled logistics preserves the chemical, physiological, and sensory quality of the olive oil to the best of our ability. In the olive oil business—especially in the premium segment—such meticulous care is essential, yet evoo.expert is one of the very few retailers who consistently maintain an unbroken cold chain. You can smell and taste the difference.
