Feminine, delicate, desirable. La Patràun is undoubtedly an oil of character and great personality. On the nose, this oil, extracted from the peranzana fruit, has a very special fruitiness, with prominent notes of artichoke leaves and a perceptible scent of thistles. On the palate, the artichoke heart predominates with its bitter and spicy notes, which are perfectly balanced.
Monocultivar di Peranzana is an olive variety native to Apulia, which thrives in stony soils thanks to its remarkable adaptability. The name "La Patràun," a Canosa dialect name, derives from "Padrona," meaning "countrywoman," who, like this wonderful plant, has adapted to the rural, unspoiled environment of Apulia. "The eternal feminine is embodied in this Extra Virgin olive oil, which, with its fruity tomato leaf and artichoke notes, speaks of the simplicity of rural life. Its versatility, full of grace, aroma, and flavor, elevates La Patraun to the status of a high art."
